The Loop offers UCL academic support to our wider network

As part of our partnership with UCL to assist businesses at our experimental circular economy hub, The Loop, Hackney Wick and Fish Island Community Development Trust (CDT) are extending the offer of 1-to-1 support out to our wider network of local start-ups and SMEs working in the sector.

Circular economy-focused business are invited to apply for support, regardless of being based at The Loop or in Hackney Wick and/or the Growth Boroughs areas.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take advantage of valuable free advice from UCL academics, who will:

  • Meet with you to explore and advise on your key business challenges

  • Share insight into routes for academic collaboration between SMEs and UCL (see what The Loop tenants Zhero are currently doing in partnership with UCL here)

  • Offer information on how to access InnovateUK funding opportunities

  • Signpost access to collaboration opportunities including workshops, networking events, and more

Eligibility:

  • UK registered company 

  • No more than 50 employees 

  • Circular economy focus

  • Innovative (e.g. technology, business model)
