Funding for Circular Economy High Street

Drum roll please…..

This week the Mayor of London announced that HWFI CDT has been successful in its funding bid for a Hackney Wick circular economy high street.

We are one of only 15 projects across London to receive funding. Receiving this funding underlines GLA support for our mission - to secure space for the community for the long-term. The GLA see us as the critical organisation to deliver that for Hackney Wick. This was very much a partnership bid - working with colleagues from community, civic, public and private organisations - and we want to thank everyone who played a part.

We have loved the energising and inspiring engagement with the community and businesses in Hackney Wick, about the project and look forward to putting some of the ideas into action.

More to come in the New Year. For now we are going into the Christmas break with a smile and a spring in our step!
