Progress Update: We’re fitting out The Loop!
As we continue to work diligently towards our goal of creating Hackney Wick and Fish Island’s first circular economy hub, we are excited to share with you some key milestones and developments over at The Loop.
Introducing The Loop
Just to get you up to speed, The Loop facilitates the growth of circular economy businesses by fostering connections, trialling new processes, and conducting local R&D activities in HWFI. It aims to provide access to circular products and services for the people of HWFI too. Our meanwhile site The Loop (at 119 Wallis Road) will play host to a selection of circular economy businesses who are the vanguard of this growing paradigm shift in our economy. In a matter of weeks our site will be live, so watch this space for ways to get involved.
Elevating The Loop with Arbeit Studios
As mentioned above, the fit-out process of the site is in full swing. We are pleased to announce that we will be working with local workspace provider Arbeit Studios to deliver The Loop. Over the next month Arbeit Studios, renowned for their innovative approach to workspace design, will be transforming the site into a dynamic hub that will serve as a catalyst for positive, sustainable change in our community. With Arbeit Studios’ expertise, The Loop will weave together functionality and aesthetics to deliver a space that inspires and empowers the impressive cohort of businesses who will be making The Loop their home.
Join The Loop
Are you in need of affordable workspace in Hackney Wick and your business is focused on sustainability and the circular economy? We have a very limited number of spaces which we are inviting local innovators to apply for. This includes desk & studio workspace. All businesses will benefit from additional access to knowledge and resources from UCL academic business support and network. Alongside this, we will be delivering a programme of events, that will weave together the vital work being delivered by our funding partners SHIFT through the Future Industries Demonstrator programme.
If you are interested in desk and studio space, please download the information document and check the eligibility criteria.
To apply, please complete the online application form here. The online registration form asks for basic information about your business, as well as what you are currently doing around the circular economy and how you intend to support the objectives of the site.
Desk spaces will be allocated on a rolling basis and subject to availability on a first-come-first-served basis.
As we move forward, we remain committed to creating a space that not only addresses environmental challenges but also fosters collaboration, innovation, and community empowerment. Together, we can make a positive impact and pave the way for a more sustainable future. We look forward to sharing more updates with you in the near future.
As always we’d like to thank our development partners Halcyon Development Partners, SHIFT London and the Greater London Authority for their support to deliver our vision.
