FRANCESCA TADDEO
“This has been a wonderful opportunity to bring our sustainable fashion and textiles brands to life! Having finding a beautiful studio space in the best possible community in Fish Island, Hackney Wick where I can create has been truly life changing and feels like a full milestone in my life and career. I'm honoured to be finally given the opportunity to pursue my passion!”
About Francesca
Francesca is a Hackney-based fashion designer who developed a love for screen printing and tie-dying from a young age. She has since honed her craft through study and experience working in the fashion industry in the UK and in Australia. Her signature street style comprises one-of-a-kind co-ordinate sets, with a focus on bucket hats and workwear style pieces. Francesca works as a freelancer in Costume Design for film and TV whilst developing her own brand.
Francesca’s Mentor
Francesca was paired with Lydia Bolton, a sustainability creator and slow fashion designer who founded her namesake brand in 2019. A zero-waste advocate, she works meticulously with sleeping stock, deadstock fabrics and thrifted pieces to create luxury womenswear apparel as well as teaching workshops and brand partnerships.
